War is the conclusion to the awesome True Reign series by the even more awesome Jennifer Anne Davis. I know this sounds biased, but I really love this series, can’t help it 🙂
“Do you usually talk to your victims before you murder them? Does it make it more fun to get to know them before making the kill?”
Jennifer totally made up for leaving me hanging at the end of book one (The Key) and book two (Red) with War. Or maybe she did not, because it’s the ending of this series. All I can say, is that it is worth reading every word.
In War we continue following Rema’s journey to recover the peace in Greenwood Island. And that isn’t easy. She knows that, but she doesn’t expect to be kidnapped by an Emperion assassin. He is to take her to the emperor and have her executed – again.
Her heart ached. They had finally figured things out and a relationship was forming between them. He even revealed he loved her—and she loved him. Now, she’d never see him again.
Darmik knows he has to hurry to find Rema. He has to rescue her before she gets to Emperion. He knows what the Emperor, his uncle, is capable of. Will he be in time to save her?
War has it all. Action, romance, suspense, laughter and so on. Like the other books in the series really. I also like the way you discover more about Darmik, about his training in Emperion. And I still really really really like the character Audek. Lucky me, Jennifer promised me to wrap him in a red bow and ship him to me as soon as the whole series is done. Done, you ask. This is the last book, right? Well, I happen to know there is going to be a spin-off series! 😀 I’m sure looking forward to that.
