#Player

PLAYER_Final_ebooksm#Player is the thirth book in the Hashtag series by Cambria Hebert. It is a college romance series and boy, I’m sad Romeo and Rimmel’s story has come to an end. I have to say they’ve become one of my favourite characters ever. Thank you Cambria, for bringing them to life. They will be missed.

If someone had told me a few months ago that this would be my life, I would have recommended they seek help for their crazy. – Rimmel

As with #Hater, the book before #Player, I think the best summary is the one on the back of the book. So here it is:

Players gotta play.
Hate is like a poison. It contaminates everything.
So does doubt.
Even though I deny what I overheard, even though I insist it isn’t true, the seed of doubt has been planted. I can’t help but be tormented with the endless what-if’s that have taken over our lives. Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest
sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo’s
entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened…
and my past? It’s coming back to haunt me. To haunt us.
Romeo says we’re in this together and right now the only
sure thing is us. But how far can a love so new be pushed?
The lengths we will have to go to save each other puts everything at risk. Romeo is a #player but how much of the game
can one person play? - goodreads.com

Don’t forget this moment. Don’t forget the absolute truth in the way you feel right now. I love you and I’m not going to stop. – Romeo

First of all, I just love Cambria Hebert’s writing style. She manages to develop characters into real personalities  – to people I could actually meet when going shopping for example. And the way she writes herself into the story by letting Rimmel say things like ‘writers couldn’t even make something like that up in romance books’ only enhance that. I think that is te reason why I’ve rated most of the Cambria Hebert books I’ve read 4 or 5 stars. They really are that awesome. And I think if you’ve never read a book by Cambria and you love NA, you should give this book a try.

What I also really like about this book is that there is a lot going on. There is more than one goal or problem Rimmel & Romeo have to achieve. They have got their own personal problems too. Together, it creates a beautiful and complete story.
We will be able to read a little bit more about Romeo and Rimmel  in #Selfie, a novel about Braeden’s story. Have I mentioned I like Braeden too? I can’t wait for the next book, I can tell you that. I hope Cambria doesn’t make me wait that long. Ok, I can’t draw this out any longer. It’s time to end this post. I think my rating on this book is obvious. A 5 star rating. Again. That makes the Hashtag series a five star series.
